The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is the biggest event in the advertising and creative communications industry, drawing over 10,000 players from over 90 countries. AOL had some prime branding opportunities at the 2016 event, and wanted to use it to talk about being “open”—but like, in a cool way.
Our “Open Relationships” theme turned an insider concept into a saucy icebreaker. We developed a strict internal style guide to make sure the theme stayed clever and fun, not cheesy or sleazy.
